Ahhhh Pure Beauty....The Benefits of White Sage and Palo Santo

My eldest daughter can read me like a book. She gifted me these beautiful items for Mother's Day and I couldn't be more ecstatic. My journey to peace has been very challenging, yet satisfying and these little things you see here pack a huge punch! She knows exactly what will add to my joy and abundance.

Below I will tell you some of the wellness benefits for the White Sage smudge stick and the Palo Santo. The fragrances of each are AMAZING! This photo does the abalone shell no justice as well as the cedar wood stand for this shell to rest on.

White Sage Smudge Stick-

Clearing out energy in ones surrounding place enables neutral energy, which naturally helps with intuition. The Native American tribes were known to use sage for multiple purposes such as healing, clearing space and ceremonies.

White sage is still used today for smudging purposes.  The smudging process involves lighting the tips of dried sage leaves, blowing them out, and allowing the smoke to escape into the air.  Smudging is typically done using a sage wand (smudge stick as pictured). Sage wands are sage leaves wrapped tightly together.  To burn a smudge stick, light the tip of a few leaves and blow it out.

You can either wave the stick in air, in a clockwise motion, walking from each space to the next. Or place stick in a fire-safe container that contains salt or sand. The salt or sand will allow the smudge stick to stand erect while burning. To extinguish the smudge stick, place smoking end of the stick into the salt or sand and smolder. The smoke created from burning sage produces a calming effect on those who inhale it.

Sage is also an amazing aromatherapy scent throughout different spaces in your home you may want to just refresh.
(Always use caution when burning sage, as anything that is on fire can potentially catch other things on fire.  Also, keep anything that is burning away from children and pets).

Palo Santo Stick- sacred wood essence

Palo Santo is a sacred wood that comes from the magical Palo Santo tree, native to the coast of South America. Its name literally means holy wood, and it is just that. When it is burned, the smoke is believed to have both medicinal and therapeutic healing power. Traditionally, it is burned by Incas, indigenous people of the Andes, Shamans and medicine people for spiritual purifying, energy cleansing and healing.

Some of the most well-known Palo Santo uses include inspiring creativity, protection, clearing negative energy and bringing both love and good fortune. It is a wonderful tool to use before and during your meditation. Its uplifting scent helps to raise your vibration to bring a deeper connection to the Earth and your divine source.
