Penne Pasta with Sun-dried Tomatoes & Basil

Hey loves!!! This pasta was a quick and quite simple dish. It has a ton of flavor & my family loved it! Healthy & delicious....you can't go wrong with that! I absolutely love fresh herbs. Dried simply won't do, so don't eve try it! Hope you all enjoy this tasty dish!

1 lb whole grain penne pasta
1 jar 16 oz sun-dried tomatoes in herbs
fresh basil
1 tsp sea salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp ground black pepper

* optional fresh grated parmesan, romano, asiago cheese blend
* pair with garlic bread, garlic toast or even bread-sticks, and a simple spinach salad


Salt boiling water, cook pasta in large stock pot according to package directions. Strain noodles, pour back into pot, fold in tomatoes and seasonings. Plate on serving dish.Thin slice basil until you have your desired amount to put atop pasta. After serving, sprinkle with cheese if desired. No need to be concerned about having dry pasta. The sun-dried tomatoes takes care of that filled with evoo! ;)
