Turmeric "the goddess of spice", used from the beginning of time as a natural cure to treat myriad ailments. Turmeric is a dry, ground herb also used in Indian recipes. Known for it's medicinal activity in curing headaches, it is proved to be an anti- inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, astringent, anti-allergic, antiseptic, effective for it's digestive properties as well.
Almond Milk is a rich source in calcium, protein, potassium, Vitamins B12 and A. Cinnamon has been consumed since 2000 BC in Ancient Egypt, where it was a prized possession. Cinnamon can be used to treat the common cold, infections, muscle spasms, treating and healing chronic wounds.
I've raved on several different occasions about this magnificent wonder Ginger-root. It's an anti inflammatory, improves metabolism, great for calming an upset tummy amongst other things.
Raw Honey is one of nature's purest foods. It is a natural antimicrobial and antioxidant, also gives a great boost to the immune system.
*here's the quick recipe shared by Dr. Sanjay Gupta. Perfect for those times when I don't feel like the whole pot and boil job
1 cup almond milk
1/2 tsp ground turmeric
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp raw honey
1/4 tsp ginger (I grated mine)
In the microwave, warm a cup of unsweetened original almond milk. Remove, stir in spices. Drizzle honey on top. Sip well!
