How to make "Golden Milk"

Hey loves!! This almond milk tea, also known by the common name "Golden Milk" is so creamy delicious and very calming. I enjoy a cup late evenings if I'm having trouble relaxing before bed, or if I'm feeling a bit under the weather. This is seriously like magic in a cup! Mother nature has provided everything we need. All we have to do is take heed in these healing properties available in our very own kitchens.

Turmeric "the goddess of spice", used from the beginning of time as a natural cure to treat myriad ailments. Turmeric is a dry, ground herb also used in Indian recipes. Known for it's medicinal activity in curing headaches, it is proved to be an anti- inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, astringent, anti-allergic, antiseptic, effective for it's digestive properties as well.

Almond Milk is a rich source in calcium, protein, potassium, Vitamins B12 and A. Cinnamon has been consumed since 2000 BC in Ancient Egypt, where it was a prized possession. Cinnamon can be used to treat the common cold, infections, muscle spasms, treating and healing chronic wounds.

I've raved on several different occasions about this magnificent wonder Ginger-root. It's an anti inflammatory, improves metabolism, great for calming an upset tummy amongst other things.

Raw Honey is one of nature's purest foods. It is a natural antimicrobial and antioxidant, also gives a great boost to the immune system.

*here's the quick recipe shared by Dr. Sanjay Gupta. Perfect for those times when I don't feel like the whole pot and boil job

1 cup almond milk
1/2 tsp ground turmeric
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp raw honey
1/4 tsp ginger (I grated mine)

In the microwave, warm a cup of unsweetened original almond milk. Remove, stir in spices. Drizzle honey on top. Sip well!

Have a beautiful week!
Peace & Blessings XOXO
