DIY Flower Crowns

Poinsettia Flower Headband
Headband I made on
 Mother's Day

Happy Sunday loves! We love beautiful things and flowers are always a win! My mini and me spent time creating many different flower crowns. Simple, inexpensive & lots of fun!
I purchased everything except the twine at my local Dollar Tree. Twine was bought at CVS, but can also be found at Walmart, any craft store and Home Depot.

Supplies

variety of flowers

glue gun
glue sticks
floral tape
pliers
twine and/or floral wire
headbands

Select flowers of different sizes. Can be fresh,or artificial.
Pull off tips of flowers and cit the extra part off at the base of the flower.
Put flowers in a pattern of choice and set aside.
Create a circle of twine or floral wire to fit around your head.
Triple or quadruple the twine and braid it together, make a loop at ends of twine, then use the hot glue gun to attach ends.
Begin putting a dab of glue at base of flower, then place on the twine, press and hold a few seconds until it has stuck. Repeat with the flowers you chose, incorporating leaves, etc. as you go along.
Allow the glue to dry completely.
Cut enough twine to attach through the looped ends and tie around the back of your head.

*Wear your crown
*If you decide on floral wire, make a circle around head and intertwine the ends by twisting them together. Hold flowers in place with floral tape.
*If you use a headband, attach with glue, hold, repeat, allow time to dry

Sunflowers, Dahlias, Orchids, Wild Daisies
Finished crowns for my youngest daughter
